The Utah Procurement Code provides that a procurement may be made without competition when the University determines that there is only one source that can reasonably meet the University’s need for the required supply or service, as described in Utah Code Ann. § 63G-6a-802.

Sole Source Justification:
This SOW is the continuation of an existing consulting engagement. Impact Advisors has roughly 29 months of institutional knowledge and effort that would be lost if we switched to a new vendor. Switching to a new Vendor at this stage within the engagement would cost UUHC a minimum of $85,000.00 in rework. Therefore, at this time, it is too cost prohibitive to move to a new Vendor.
This sole source will be valid for six (6) months and will exceed $50K.
