The Utah Procurement Code provides that a procurement may be made without competition when the University determines that there is only one source that can reasonably meet the University’s need for the required supply or service, as described in Utah Code Ann. § 63G-6a-802.

Sole Source Justification:
| This is the only dermatome that is FDA cleared for both excision and grafting of skin during surgical procedures. The round blade allows for circular spinning and enables precise control of depth during procedures. The square blades of other dermatomes are dependent on the angle and pressure of the surgeon to control depth. The Exsurco item SDSYSTEM024 includes a larger guard, which allows larger grafts and smaller area for open wounds and better healing. |
